Cañada College Virtual Tour

Hi, I’m Misha and welcome to Cañada College. I’m looking forward to telling you why I’m proud to be a Cañadian. It’s
what we affectionately call ourselves. I would like to take you on a tour of our
beautiful campus and give you a closer look at the outstanding programs and
exciting student activities available at Cañada College. Let’s begin at the
upper part of campus, Building 9, the hub of student services and the place to
start when becoming a Cañadian. On the first floor is the Welcome Center
and Admissions and Records. There, you can get assistance with basic questions on
orientation, placement tests, registration counseling appointments, and transcripts.
At the business and cashiers office, you can make payments on financial holds and
parking permits. Just a few steps away is the Financial Aid department. They can
assist you with the cost of school, scholarships, and applications for the
DREAM Act, California College Promise Grant, and FAFSA. Down the hall are the
Counseling and Transfer Centers. You can get assistance in academic, career,
transfer, or personal counseling. You will also find support program such as SparkPoint, EOPS, CARE, CalWORKs, and the Foster Youth Success Initiative. The second floor of Building 9 is home to the Learning
Center. They offer free tutoring, workshops, and group study rooms. The
computer lab has 150 computers with a variety of educational software
and on the same floor is our award-winning STEM Center. The learning
in STEM centers can also improve your placement test results with their
popular Word and Math Jams. The third and top floor of building nine is the
library, where you can take advantage of textbook reservations and renewals and
librarians are available to assist you with research and citing sources.
Now that you’ve explored Building 9, you might need a caffeinated pick-me-up.
No problem! Located in the heart of campus is the Pony Espresso. Next door is Building 13, where you can find programs in Computer Business and Office
Technology, Interior Design, Accounting and more. Behind Building 13 are Buildings 16, 17, and 18, which hold classes in Science and Mathematics including
Engineering, Computer Science, and Radiologic Technology. Buildings 19, 20,
and 21 house programs such as Medical Assisting, Astronomy, and Digital Arts and
in Building 22, you will find courses such as Early Childhood Education and
our Cañada Outreach department. Home to our new Science and Technology building,
Building 23 will feature modern flexible classrooms, laboratories and an
indoor/outdoor plaza for the campus community. On the lower side of campus is Building 8, home to college Administration, including the Office of
the President. Connected to it is the third floor of
Building 5, filled with exciting and resourceful services. You’ll find the
Center for Student Life and Leadership Development, where you can sign up for a
club, student government, rent games, print, and get your student body card. Hungry
for a filling meal or just need a place to unwind? The grove features large open
areas for relaxing, a game lounge, and the Career Center. It also features the Grove
Café, a full-service food court complete with healthy options. Down the hall is
the Wellness Center, which includes the Health, Disability Resource, and Personal
Counseling centers. On the second floor, is where you will find the University
Center and Middle College High School, as well as the food pantry,
which provides food assistance for students and community members. Nearby, the campus Bookstore is located in Building 2. You can rent and purchase
textbooks, plus buy school supplies and festive gear to show your Cañada College spirit. Across from the bookstore is Building 3, where you will find the
college’s Main and Flex Theatre. Humanities, Social Sciences, Fashion
Design, and our International Student Center. Nearby is Building 1, the future
home of our Kinesiology and Wellness Building. The two-story structure will
include modern classrooms, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, a
gymnasium, and two swimming pools. The college also boasts beautiful soccer,
baseball fields, and tennis courts. You must check out the breathtaking views of
the bay. Now that you’ve learned about our
diverse student-oriented programs and services, explored our gorgeous campus,
and heard about the fun activities and clubs to join, are you ready to become a
