Chelsea News : Police recover knives and knuckle dusters from PSG fans at Chelsea women’s clash

  Police have recovered weapons, including knives and knuckle dusters, and class A drugs on a coach carrying Paris Saint-Germain supporters to Thursday night’s Women’s Champions Clash between Chelsea and the French side  Officers confirmed there had been disturbances throughout the day involving PSG ultras and that a group had been identified  They had allegedly caused criminal damage at the stadium at 8am on Thursday before later incidents at Waterloo and Wimbeldon stations  The fans were identified and confronted by police prior to the match and stopped before their coach was searched  A police statement read: “At approximately 08:00hrs on Thursday, 21 March police were called to reports of a group of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) supporters causing criminal damage at Kingsmeadow Stadium in Kingston    “Officers attended but all those involved had left the scene.  “Later in the day, officers were made aware of sporadic instances of disorder involving PSG supporters at both Waterloo and Wimbledon stations  “Those involved were identified and when they attended Kingsmeadow Stadium this evening they were stopped A coach they travelled in was searched and weapons, including knives and knuckle dusters, were recovered along with class A drugs  “One man from the coach was arrested for possession of class A drugs and the remaining passengers were escorted from the area by police  “Enquiries continue.”  Chelsea won the quarter-final first leg 2-0 thanks to goals from Hannah Blundell and Erin Cuthbert
