David Prutton makes his Super 6 predictions

October 11, 2019

League One Super 6 this weekend. It feels like a Bradford win for me. I saw them on Monday at Doncaster. Simon Grayson’s reaction after, he wasn’t too happy at all. Them at home to Gillingham, feels like a Bradford win for me, so I’ll go Bradford 2-0 Gillingham. A huge game for Bury, Wigan obviously fresh off a good cup run. Bury, it looks like a Herculean task to get them to safety this season, bottom of the league. It’s an away win for me, Wigan to win at Bury. 0-1. Charlton, a funny club in the sense of it felt like everything was calming down off the pitch. Whispers say, perhaps that’s not the case. Whereas Plymouth under Derek Adams, a poor start to the season, they did wonderfully well to turn that form around. A trip that’s worth its distance and time. So I’m going to go Charlton 0-1 Plymouth. Scunny, another very consistent season. Close in the play-offs last year, obviously losing to Millwall. I think Graham Alexander’s done another fantastic job. Rochdale, on the other hand, again a good cup run, but not as forceful as they were in the league last season. Rochdale will go there and find it tough. I’m going to go Scunthorpe 2-1 Rochdale. Shrewsbury Town, what a season they’re having. I think under Paul Hurst, he’s transformed the club this year after surviving so very late in the day last season. It feels to me like it will be a tough game for Wimbledon, but it won’t be a walk in the park at all for Shrewsbury, but we’ve seen them at home, Shrewsbury 2-0 Wimbledon. Rotherham again, another team doing very, very well and in the play-off places. Southend look transformed under Chris Powell. Roots Hall has got its own unique atmosphere and its tough for any away team to get to. I’ll go a score draw, 2-2.
