Naomi Osaka’s Struggles | YBN Cordae Confirms Relationship

December 4, 2019

After winning the 2019 Australian Open Naomi
Osaka’s world was turned upside down after the coaching split with Sascha, new multi-million
dollar deals and endorsements and increased pressure to perform to a higher standard. It’s been no secret that she has been struggling
Results wise since January as she has made the semifinals of just one tournament since
and has suffered early exits in both Roland Garros and Wimbledon. After her Wimby loss last month to Putintseva
many began to voice their opinions on Osaka with many saying that her early exits are
attributed to her split with Bajin back in February. Naomi has just made a statement on her Twitter
page, though to silence the critics. In it she said: While I’m sure some of
you guys are probably saying: “Ok, big deal she says she’s in a better place” However,
I feel that this is a really good sign for more positive things to come. If you remember last year Naomi was going
through something similar as she was in a bit of a slump since her Indian Wells title
run that year. She only managed to pick up one win during
the US Open series but after her loss to Maria Sakkari in Cincinnati she posted: So seeing this post
from last year it’s very clear that there are
some similarities between this year’s edition. In both notes she talked about feeling the
pressure and not having fun but revealing that even though she lost in Cincy she had
a good time playing in the process. After she posted this she immediately won
the US Open playing the best tennis of her life and I do believe the same is capable
of happening again. I feel that Naomi’s biggest problem when
playing is herself as many times she allows the pressure of trying to win get to her which
in turn dampens her abilities. She seems to be in a much better mood now
as she was nice and bubbly throwing the first pitch for a recent Dodgers game, and has good
relationships around her including her now confirmed boyfriend, rapper YBN Cordae. Back in April I made a video about the relationship
where I detail in depth who Cordae is so watch that by clicking the card on the right side
of the screen. Cordae however goes even further on their
relationship in his interview with morning radio show Hot 97. Overall I’m happy Naomi is feeling better
mentally and emotionally and am happy she has
a good, solid base of support from her family and boyfriend. Cordae’s a very talented artist who actually
just released his debut album ‘The Lost Boy’ so I suggest you all listen to it when
you get the chance. Do you agree that Naomi’s note is an indication
of greater things to come or do you think the slump will continue? Leave your thoughts in the comment section

A year from now, all of you are going to be saying, "Naomi who?!?"

If she’s getting into that rapper lifestyle then it’s going to be all downhill from here. She seems to have lost her drive and her determination, and all that happened when she fired Sacha, who brought her to 2 grand slams and to number one. I wish her the best but I don’t see much positive things coming until she stops worrying about having fun and starts putting your all into tennis again. If she wants to have fun like I said elsewhere she can go to Disneyland.
