News24 – Jesse Lingard offers a strong opinion on Manchester United’s mindset under Solskjaer

November 6, 2019

There seems to be no stopping Manchester United at the moment under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer  The turnaround of both the on-field performances and mentality surrounding the club is almost unbelievable  Considering how dire the situation was at Old Trafford going into the Christmas period, the United board couldn’t have asked for anything better from their Caretaker Manager  Even famed BBC pundit and footballing legend, himself, Gary Lineker has gone as far as dubbing it: “The greatest audition in the history of football ”  Solskjaer’s efforts have undoubtedly earned him a place in contention for the job on a permanent basis And if the results continue; why not?   One of the many players thriving under the new manager is Jesse Lingard, who managed to get on the scoresheet during Friday night’s 3-1 FA Cup win at the Emirates Stadium  The Englishman is one of the few players who has enjoyed fine runs of form for both their current and previous managers  Lingard was instrumental in United’s dismantling of Arsenal away last season, and the two sides’ most recent encounter followed a similar narrative  During his Soccer AM appearance on Saturday morning, the 26-year-old lifted the lid on how the mentality of the players has changed in the past few weeks  He said: “I’m enjoying my football, it’s good vibes at the moment.  ”If they score one, Ole knows that we’re going to score two and he’s always had that mindset We are always confident going into matches – our mindset has definitely changed going into big games    “This is Man United and this is how we should be. We wear suits for away games now to look the part He [Solskjaer] wanted to bring back the United way.”  If the results are anything to go by, then the changes have certainly worked  The Red Devils have won all of their games since the Norwegian’s arrival, including some vital victories over Arsenal and Tottenham  Solskjaer has brought the club’s traditional values back to Manchester United. And he could he restore them to their winning ways if they continue their impressive spell
