He’s my type of guy and let me tell you what I could do with him. I would sit down with him and just listen to him for one hour Not say one thing. Then I would ask him a couple of questions. I am the type who would relate to him. You think Agassi (to coach) was easy? Oh boy! You have certain individuals whom you cannot tell to ‘do this, do that’. ‘What’s the matter with you?’ No, you can’t do that. Boris Becker said, Nick is a genius because I know how to relate to each person. My life story ‘Showtime’ is out now going round the world. It’s called ‘Love Means Zero’. It’s a 90-minute documentary and it’s not easy at some but it tells the type of guy I am. One part of it at the French Open, Andre (Agassi) and Jim Courier are both my students… Courier looks around, sees me in Andre’s box and he starts to cry because I was his coach. The documentary is very truthful and Nick is Nick . I’ve made a lot of mistakes along the way. But remember, I am also crazy and crazy people do things that sane people will never do. Why, because they are afraid of failure. Not me, I’ve built the first live-in tennis academy of the world. And everybody thought it was crazy. You have to be crazy to do what I did. You never argue with a critic. My daddy said, whatever they said, you say ‘thank you’. And you let the results of whatever you do in life, do the talking for you.
A coach, an educator can change the personality of a youngster making a child go home thinking you are a success. If they don’t they won’t study and sleep well and get to bad things. So a coach as an educator must know how to deal with them.

Right now no one knows the future of Murray because of his hip injury. His game is dependent on movement and if he cannot move like how he used to move then he becomes a good player and not a great player.
Djokovic with his wrist hurting is also struggling. Nadal is a workhorse. His future is doubt as well. (Stanislas) Wawrinka is also hurt now, so there are a lot of youngsters coming up are going to start putting up a lot of pressure on them.
The living legend of coaching said he would have loved to coach former World N0.1 Roger Federer.
“To me, the one I would have loved to coach is Roger Federer. Why? He’s a champion in everything that he does. There are only a few people in life who are champions in everything they do. When I got into the International Hall of Fame, he and Pete Sampras wrote beautiful letters to me about why I should get in,” Nick said about the Swiss great.
“If the world was like Roger, you wouldn’t have any violence, you wouldn’t have any wars. You would have only peace. He is a credit to everything he does,” he added.
And his advice to aspiring champions.
“If you have to be the best, you must try to win everything every day. That’s the penalty of being the best. That’s why I’m still the best!,” he said as a passing shot.
