Tennis Tip – Improve your Topspin Forehand Through Proper Use of the Forearm

August 22, 2019

What does the forearm do on the forehand Usually what happens when you take your racquet back with the shoulders at
some point the forearm is gonna turn and the racket head is gonna point down.
As you turn and go forwards the forearm is gonna start turning the
other way. So the forearm is actually turning as if you’re opening or
closing a door. As the racket comes back it turns down as the racket go forward it turns
over.

Nice Tips 🙂 I love your to the point attitude, I have just started playing and my coach has advised me to play with eastern grip, Would love to hear your advice on generating topspin with eastern grip. Thanks a lot in advance !

Thanks for your great tips Edgar! I have a big question for you. What is your opinion on how straight the arm should be on the forehand topspin? There of course is a variety with the pro players, and I have noticed greater power but harder to master with a straigh(er) arm. I think there is less strain on the elbow with a straighter arm as well.
