The Perfect Contact Point Head Position | Pat Cash Tennis

August 20, 2019

Watch the ball! How many times have you heard that from your coach? Well that’s kind of correct as long as you do “watch the ball” Remember in the biomechanical section where I talked about uncoiling? Well this is the crucial part. If you continue to watch the ball at contact and you don’t move your head your head will be stuck. There could be neck injuries. It’s okay to watch the ball at contact though not many of the top
players do but you must keep your head moving and unwinding. one of the issues with keeping your head down after contact is the contact position. Now remember we wanted to keep that handshake position? If my head is standing still where does my contact point go? Right out in front. Very few players in the world can play like that. Roger Federer is one of them but are you as talent as Roger Federer?
